This is 8 oz. of dry water crystals. These are prefect for roaches, crickets, and other feeder insects; this allows the insects to get water without an open dish (drowning) or a sponge (mold/smells).
When mixed with water, these crystals will grow; 1 oz. of dry crystals will get you about a gallon of hydrated gel! The gel will increase it's size by approximately 400 times! If you want to make less than a gallon of gell, simply mix 1 teaspoon of crystals to 1 cup of water.
This is considered a 'medium' grade (the dry crystals are .8-2.0mm in size).
The gel is a potassium-based copolymer rather than sodium-based polyacrylate, offering much more longevity and performance and is is 100% bio-degradable.
These will also work in your plants/lawn for water retention.
